Shrovetide is my name...
Come to our wonderful Shrovetide party, where we will choose the best costume, enjoy the traditional “beating the cat out of the barrel” and have a good time together. It takes place in the Aquadome.
Access with Shrovetide wristband
Overnight guests and visitors with an Aquadome ticket can collect a wristband for free, granting access to the barrel-knocking event. Pick it up in the Aquadome Shop from 10:00 AM on the day.

A fun hat or glasses?
We’ll be “beating the cat out of the barrel” in swimwear, but feel free to wear festive Shrovetide accessories on your head.
